Special Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
Monday, October 22, 2007
4:45 P.M. - Administration Building

President Jim Marsh called the meeting to order at 4:45 PM.  

Members Present:
  President Dr. Jim Marsh, Vice- President- Ms. Maxine Hartman, Treasurer-Mr. Pete Dowling, Secretary-Ms. Helen Hege, Asst. Secretary- Mr. Carl Beauchamp and Mr. Kenny Bush-Member.

Also Attending:
Mr. Tim Armstrong, Mr. John D. Otey and Mr. Matthew Winton, aal F.P.O.A., Inc. attorneys and Mr. Gary Rader-General Manager

Absent:
Mr. Todd McGilton-Member and Mr. Pete Dowling - Treasurer

Hearing on Bob Stevens Citation:

Bob Stevens and Eddie Ritchie both appeared and gave their statements as to what happened on the day of the incident recorded with Jay Lee, former Greens Superintendent.

After hearing all the evidence the board took the following action:

Motion was made by Secretary Hege that the fine of $25.00 be imposed and the 30 day suspension from all F.P.O.A., Inc. facilities (except roadways) be upheld.  Motion was seconded by Vice President Hartman.

Motion carried 5 to 0.

New Business:

Matthew Winton- Attorney at Law went over all the proposed changes for the annual meeting on February 2, 2008 and the Board of Directors will bring them up for a vote at the November 19, 2007 Board of Directors meeting to be submitted to the entire membership at the annual meeting.

Motion was made by Asst. Secretary Beauchamp to enter into a contract with a company by the name of Turfgrass America out of Granbury, Texas for the new "mini-verde" Bermuda grass for all 18 greens, putting green and nursery.  The Board of Directors authorizes the General Manager to enter into contact with Turfgrass America after being reviewed by legal counsel.  Seconded by Vice President Hartman.

Motion carried 5 to 0.

Motion to adjourn was made by Secretary Hege.  Seconded by Vice-President  Hartman.

Motion carried 5 to 0.
